Many medicines, vaccines and blood samples in the pharmaceutical industry need to be stored and monitored within a temperature-controlled environment to secure and preserve the quality of the sample or medicine.

The whole operation was executed perfectly. Timing was vital as site access for the daily collections of produce by articulated refrigerated vehicles could not be disturbed under any circumstances!

It has worked so well that it has been expanded to accommodate other fruits that utilise a similar ripening solution.

All raw ingredients require storing at -20ºC to extend the shelf life. We therefore provided a 14-pallet portable cold store with a link to their building.

AHR made several site visits to determine their requirements. We measured the area and built and commissioned the unit within one day.

To determine whether their new technologies will work in extreme temperatures, they use our portable cold stores to test engines at temperatures in the region of -30°C.

Any change in temperature of the prepreg rolls can result in the products degrading and essentially losing working life.

The customer agreed to AHR providing eight 40′ portable cold storage units and a food blast chiller and freezer.

A leading UK supplier of pre-prepared restaurant meals to major pub groups and restaurant chains has chosen AHR time and time again for the rental of their portable containers, coldstores, and blast freezers requirements.

Having carried out a full site survey, the specialist team at AHR concluded the most cost-effective solution for the client would be to demolish an existing outbuilding to make way for two new portable cold stores.

Despite some challenging on-site restrictions, the hauliers and expert installation team at AHR successfully sited a 14-pallet temperature control unit quickly and efficiently and with no impact to the manufacturers daily production line.

The project proved to be a huge success for the business and has led to a further two ripening rooms being added to the existing complex.

With increased demands on production the company needed to work faster and more efficiently and the blast freezing facilities needed to accommodate this ethos. AHR was called upon to help.

Integral to the design of the unit was leading technology – DMTouch monitoring system – which after appropriate activation was able to communicate with the company’s existing digital system.
